Decoloniality Praxis in Karlsruhe: decolonial English lessons at secondary schools
One outcome of ASA Academia project #1107 is teaching three different English lessons to different 9th grade classes at Sophie-Scholl Realschule and Gemeinschaftsschule Illingen over one intensive week. The three tandems of Team XV and their local student-partners from the “Decoloniality Praxis” seminar (Prof. Martin) prepared lessons on “Representations of and attributions about Africa in English textbooks”, “Language as a power tool and “Critical Language Awareness”.
